HP has long been one of the world’s premiere computer manufacturers with many different laptop and desktop offerings. They also dipped their foot into the ultra-portable market with the purchase of Palm producing devices such as the HP Pre 3 and the HP TouchPad.
While we’ll save the Pre 3 for another story you may know that the HP TouchPad was recently killed off due to poor sales. The hardware of the device has been known to be quite end with things like a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and IPS display but due to the lack of developer support behind webOS the device failed to take off. Luckily, the price of the tablet was cut to just $99 for a limited time which temporarily made the tablet one of the most highly sought after devices on the market.
But, is this the last we will see of the TouchPad? Perhaps not. According to recent reports it seems that HP may be mulling over the idea of reviving the discontinued tablet with none other than Windows 8. If true, this may give the tablet exactly what it needs to flourish seeing how Windows 8 is sure to have a massive developer following.
Would you buy an HP TouchPad with Windows 8? Let us know in the comments.
