LG Prada K2 leak: design still in flux

An anonymous tipster has just sent us a couple of photographs of what he is calling the LG Prada P940. Actually, it looks like the LG Prada K2, which is expected to be an Android powered version of the handset. This would be the third version of the LG Prada with the first model widely considered to be the first touchscreen cell phone commercially available. Our tipster says that this is not the final design.

With Gingerbread installed, this will be the first "smartphone" version of the LG Prada, which will come in at under 9mm thin. The 4.3 inch NOVA display comes with more than 1,000 nits allowing for a very bright screen. An 8MP camera is on back with a 1.3MP camera up front. An HSDPA+ radio brings download speeds as fast as 21Mbps and a dual-core processor of unknown speed will be under the hood. You might recall that quick ten second look of the phone that we showed you this summer.

The LG Prada K2 is expected out sometime this quarter. As with the previous two LG Prada models, you probably won't see the phone in the States. Still, the LG Prada name has a very important meaning when it comes to cell phones as the original model laid the groundwork for all of the other touchscreen phones that followed, including the Apple iPhone.
